Licensed candidates have access to Tenured Speech Therapists, with an environment offering solid mentorship. Excellent programs including ICU intensivist program, MBS, pediatrics, and adults.
The Speech Therapist is responsible for evaluation and treatment of pediatric outpatients with a wide variety of communication, cognitive, voice and swallowing disorders. The Speech Therapist develops a plan of care for each patient referred and is responsible for its implementation and modification as necessary in accordance with the hospitalâ��s policies and procedures relative to care and treatment of patients.
Fellowship to obtain C's not currently available.
Required: Masters degree in Speech Language Pathology/Communication Sciences and Disorders
Required: Previous acute experience and competency in performing modified barium swallow exams. Pediatric experience required, both Pedatric and Adult experience is preferred.
Required: Florida Speech Therapist License and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA, American Heart Association BLS
