University of Minnesota Physicians is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our practice in Minneapolis, MN.
Lions Voice Clinic of the University of Minnesota is dedicated to providing high quality evaluation and treatment, research, and education related to laryngeal disorders, as well as serving our community with a full range of groundbreaking voice care that specializes in treating singers, actors, and other professional voice users.
Practice Details:
- Location of practice: M Health Fairview Clinics and Specialty Center in Minneapolis, MN.
- Join a large multidisciplinary team of fellowship-trained laryngologists and speech-language pathologists with specific expertise in voice disorders as well as airway, cough, and gender-affirming care.
- Candidate will work side by side with laryngologists as part of a multi-disciplinary care model, and will also evaluate and treat patients independently, seeing a wide range of patients with voice complaints, transgender and non-binary voice and resonance issues, and other problems of the upper aerodigestive tract.
- Candidate will also collaborate with other otolaryngology faculty/staff and speech language pathologists (including those with a specialty in dysphagia and head and neck cancers).
- The multidisciplinary team is active in education, outreach, and research in laryngeal and related disorders.
- Fully coordinated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
- Openings: 1.0 FTE (Full Time).
- H1B / J1 Visa accepted.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited graduate program
- Successful completion of relevant ASHA-approved clinical fellowship
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) in good standing
- Licensed or ability to acquire Minnesota Licensure
- Meets threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
- Provides excellent patient care/service
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Collaborates well with partners and staff
- Detail oriented, efficient, adaptive, and self-motivated
- Education-focused and a creative problem-solver
- Clinical experience with performing and interpreting laryngeal imaging, laryngeal function studies, and comprehensive voice assessment and treatment
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Personal experience with vocal performance (spoken and/or sung) and/or vocology
- Experience with special populations such as aging voice, transgender / non-binary people, and/or professional voice users
- Prior research experience
