What you’ll need to succeed:
Education - Related degree in fields related to the education of children who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing. Serving Birth to Grade 12
Experience - preferred, but dedication, passion, and mentoring will help you shine too!
Special Skills - ASL would be a WOW
Compliance – Arizona Department of Education Certification or ability to become certified within 3 years. Ability to obtain AzDPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
About Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind
ASDB, Preparing for tomorrow...today The Arizona State Schools for the Deaf and the Blind is an agency of the State of Arizona. ASDB provides educational services to more than 2000 hearing impaired and visually impaired students and youth at two site-based campuses (the Tucson Campus and the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (PDSD) and five Regional Cooperative programs in Arizona. Our Regional Cooperative offices are located in Yuma (SWR), Tucson (SER), Flagstaff (NCR), Holbrook (EHR), and Phoenix (DVR).ASDB services children and families through outreach and school programs. The students served are from age 0-22 within the various programs. We are committed to excellence in education of all children and youth with hearing or vision loss throughout Arizona.
