Summary: Provides direct and indirect patient care to implement treatment programs in response to physician referrals and in accordance with a plan of care jointly developed. The speech therapist's scope of practice includes assessment and training in the following areas: aphasia, aprizia, dysarthria, cognitive impairment, voice disorders including laryngectomy, tracheostomy, ventilator dependent patients, and dysphasia.
