ChristianaCare HomeHealth is seeking a Part Time/Per Visit Speech Language Pathologist. The successful candidate will support New Castle County; specifically Middletown, Smyrna, Dover and Bear and could be the ideal opportunity for SLPs who work in environments such as acute rehab or within the school system. Commonly we treat patients with a variety of cognitive, swallowing and speech deficits related to diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, head/neck surgery, dementia, and other neuro disorders. This position will allow flexible scheduling, ability to treat great variety of patient diagnoses, and the opportunity to work with a strong team of professionals in a supportive learning environment.

As a Speech Language Pathologist you will:

• Complete a target of at least 20 visits a month; these may be completed in the evenings and/or on weekends assuming patient willingness
• Administer clinical procedures for analyzing and evaluating speech and language; cognitive communication disorders and dysphagia problems
• Train patients and caregivers appropriate techniques in speech, language and swallowing, etc.

Requirements:

• Requires 1 year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist; appropriate licensure
• Home care experience preferred
• Proof of a valid driver's license and active auto insurance is required
