Health Technician (Hearing Instrument Specialist)
The Health Technician [Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS)] provides assistance to the audiologists in meeting the clinical needs of the patients served in the Iowa City VA Health Care System, Audiology and Speech Pathology Service (ASPS) and reports to the Chief, ASPS. The duties are to be carried out in the clinical and other patient care areas involved with ASPS. BASIC REQUIREMENTS: a. United States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy. b. Experience and Education: Experience.
