Auditory Verbal therapist position available for the Macon office. Great opportunity to work for an Auditory-Verbal Center. Full time position . Looking for a certified AVT or Speech-Language Pathologist committed to becoming certified in Auditory-Verbal therapy.

We will consider a CF with VERY strong background in AV training.

NO traveling to clients homes and we provide all the toys and materials you would ever need. Be a part of the team in Macon, working closely with the local audiologists in Macon to better serve the deaf and hard of hearing children in middle and south Ga.

Georgia license in Speech Pathology, Certified in Auditory-Verbal therapy preferred but training and mentoring will be provided toward certification if necessary. Prefer someone with their CCC's. Will consider CF with strong training in AV. Candidate must have strong skills in patient assessment, patient management, documentation, team collaboration, and knowledge of normal child development from birth to 6 years of age as well as the ability to work independently with commitment to the vision, mission and philosophy of the organization. Must have some experience with working with deaf or hard of hearing children.

NOTES:

Additional Salary Information: Salary commensurate with experience. In addition to salary, Health insurance, annual professional leave, great PTO plan, paid continuing education courses, credentialing, professional dues and liability insurance.

The Auditory-Verbal Center, Inc (AVC) is a non-profit hearing center serving adults, children, infants and their families through Auditory-Verbal (re)habilitation and education. Our goal is to enable individuals to become independent and literate communicators (listening and speaking) with no life limits due to their hearing loss. Founded in 1977 AVC has 2 locations, one in Atlanta, Ga and a satellite in Macon, GA. Also offer tele-therapy for those families unable to make the drive to one of our locations. We currently have 12 employees, 5 of which are certified AV therapists and 1 Audiologist. During this pandemic 100% of the clients are seen via teletherapy.
