JOB OVERVIEW: This position is responsible for audiologic diagnostic testing both independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced ENT practice.
Full or part time opportunity available! (0.6 to 1.0 FTE)
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Identify, test and diagnose disorders of hearing for pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
Interpret test results of objective and behavioral measures.
Independent diagnostic evaluations with inclusion of counseling, patient education, report writing and referral recommendations as necessary.
Assess the candidacy of persons with hearing loss for hearing aids and implantable devices and make appropriate referral recommendations to providers of these services.
Occupational Medicine pre-employment/annual hearing evaluations.
Assist ENT physicians with patient education pertaining to their hearing health care.
Education: Master’s or doctorate level Audiology degree that includes supervised clinical practicum experience.
Maintain current Washington State Department of Health Audiologist license.
Maintain current Certification of Clinical Competency (CCC) by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
Maintain current CPR certification for Health Care Providers.
Experience: Prior experience working as a clinical audiologist is preferred, but is not required.
Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively on an interdisciplinary team to provide hearing health care to achieve optimal outcomes for the patient.
Ability to adapt test procedures to suit the age and ability of the patient.
Thorough knowledge of audiologic principles and practices.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding procedures.
Working knowledge of computer programs.
Additional Salary Information: This position is posted as a 0.8 FTE but is flexible if candidate prefers 0.6 to 1.0.
