Your Role: Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking to hire a Respiratory Therapist, whom will have responsibilities for providing routine and specialized respiratory care procedures in a critical care environment; including respiratory care assessments and diagnostic testing procedures associated with respiratory care in the academic hospital and Vanderbilt clinics settings. Vanderbilt's Respiratory Care Practitioners are assigned multiple areas of patient care based upon census, diagnostic testing, and therapy demands.

Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Certification with NBRC
Active Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Tennessee
Active BLS status or eligibility to obtain prior to hire date
Attention to detail, ability to work well under pressure with tight turnaround times, and ability to adapt in a diverse, team-based culture
A Bachelor of Science degree in Respiratory Therapy (BSRRT) or related degree equivalency
Minimum of 1 year Respiratory Therapy experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting
NBRC's ACCS Credentials and a strong passion for practicing in the adult critical care setting, beyond basic or routine competencies associated with general respiratory care procedures
Specialization in Arterial Blood Gases (ABG) endorsement credentials
Active ACLS provider from American Heart Association
7pm-7am CST, 3 days per week
A formal training and orientation is included for new employees to ensure every patient receives the highest quality of personalized care in a safe and effective manner, meeting the Credo Pillar
Our Adult Respiratory Care teams work in 12 hour shifts to ensure ample coverage for our patients accross the organization
