Conduct re-evaluation assessments at least every six months (unless required more often based on progress or insurance authorizations)

All completed in a timely fashion as established with supervisor (i.e. at least biannual assessments every six months)
Implement speech and language therapy sessions for learners in various locations
Collect observable and measurable data for goals
Assure competency of all staff members in regard to learner speech and language therapy goals
Ensure that patient charts (including data and any other documentation) are accurate and entered on a timely basis; complying with HIPAA regulations
Facilitate collaboration with behavioral staff (BCBAs and RBTs)
Conduct training on topics related to speech and language for all staff
Assist in the creation and implementation of speech and language therapy services within the current and evolving ABA structure in Illinois, working closely with the Director
Collaborate with BCBAs and RBTs regarding programming to ensure consistency between disciplines with training as needed.
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent from accredited university
Current IL license to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Illinois by the IDFRP. Must be in possession of current state license on or before the first day of employment (unless otherwise agreed upon and written in contract).
Certificate of Clinical Competence as issued by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association upon receipt after completion of Clinical Fellowship Year
CPR / First Aid certification
Experience working with a pediatric population with disabilities and experience working with a pediatric population on the autism spectrum is desired
Experience working as a team member in a therapeutic and/or educational environment with individuals on the autism spectrum.
Knowledge autism spectrum disorder
Desired to have knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, sensory and behavioral strategies and principles.
Knowledge in Augmentative and Alternative Communication Devices and other communication strategies specific to the autism spectrum.
Excellent written and organizational skills.
No prior criminal history
