ASDB is seeking a dynamic leader to become our Director of Early Learning. The Director of Early Learning is responsible for planning and development, directing, monitoring referrals, and coordinating service for children in the birth-to-five program in coordination with the Arizona Early Intervention Program. Oversight of preschools, regional center preschool programs, home and school-based programs for deaf, hard of hearing, blind, visually impaired and deafblind children and their families receiving services from ASDB and in coordination with additional service entities throughout Arizona.
What You Bring
Extensive knowledge, research based best practices and demonstrated success in:
development and implementation of systems and services for children ages birth to five
experienced in any combination of the following populations:
Hard of Hearing
Master’s degree in Early Childhood, Special Education, Deaf Education, Blind/Visually Impaired of MDSSI.
10 years related educational experience, minimum of 5 years program development and management and staff supervision as a Supervisor, Principal, DHH, BVI, ECFE of SPED
Certified or certifiable by AZ Department of Education
Must be able to obtain and maintain Fingerprint Clearance
Travel throughout state as needed

ASDB provides educational services to more than 2000 hearing impaired and visually impaired students and youth at two site-based campuses (the Tucson Campus and the Phoenix Day School for the Deaf (PDSD) and five Regional Cooperative programs in Arizona. Our Regional Cooperative offices are located in Yuma (SWR), Tucson (SER), Flagstaff (NCR), Holbrook (EHR), and Phoenix (DVR).ASDB services children and families through outreach and school programs.
