The Speech Language Pathologist has a primary focus in the assessment and treatment of hearing impaired populations from a listening and spoken language perspective. The Speech Language Pathologist will evaluate and provide direct patient treatment to monolingual & bilingual patients for the following: feeding, swallowing and hearing impairments, congenital disorders, developmental disorders, neurological impairments, voice disorders, language disorders/delay, articulation deficits, respiratory/phonatory impairments and fluency disorders. This includes patient and care giver education and consultation to other professionals, clinics and agencies. Documentation of these services is according to department policy. Candidates with Cert AVT-LSLS or a desire to complete this certification is preferred.
State licensure or eligibility
Certificate of Clinical Competence or eligible and must be obtained within 12 months
LSLS Certification preferred but not required
Pediatric experience preferred
