St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf (SJI) is seeking a Mainstream/Outreach Coordinator for our Indianapolis, IN location. This full-time contract position (Monday through Friday) reports directly to the president. The Mainstream/Outreach Coordinator is responsible for providing quality services and education for children transitioning from St. Joseph Institute to other school programs. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining effective relationships with the school districts under which children are currently placed and for receiving schools of children leaving St. Joseph Institute. The Mainstream/Outreach Coordinator also provides direct educational services to children through the auspices of the Center for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Education. Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Deaf Education and be in pursuit of a masters degree. Masters degree is preferred. The candidate should be eligible for Indiana certification and appropriate Professional Boards and either hold or be in pursuit of Listening and Spoken Language Specialist Certification.
