St. Joseph Institute for the Deaf (SJI) is seeking a teacher for our Indianapolis, IN location. This is a full-time contract position (Monday through Friday) reporting directly to the Director. The teacher creates and carries out lessons and activities which are designed to provide an appropriate education for each child in his/her class. Also, the Teacher assesses each student’s progress regarding audition, language, speech, and academic content areas and assigns appropriate grades to student assignments. Candidate must possess a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Deaf Education, or in an appropriate related field. Masters degree is preferred. The candidate should be eligible for Indiana certification and appropriate professional boards.
