Medical Director, Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, to lead an established pediatric physiatry team in both an inpatient and outpatient setting. The ideal candidate is an energetic and collegial individual with a strong interest in program development, a broad base of clinical knowledge and particular interest/expertise in developmental pediatrics, spasticity, and neuromuscular conditions.
Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Staff), multiple BE/BC pediatric physiatrists, to join the team of dedicated professionals in the Division of Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation at both the Hollywood and Wellington office locations. The desired candidates will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as an interest in spasticity, neuromuscular conditions and developmental pediatrics. Physicians will be responsible for inpatient consults, outpatient clinic coverage and care to patients in our six-bed CARF-accredited inpatient unit
These are full-time employed positions with the multispecialty Memorial Physician Group. The positions offer competitive benefits and compensation packages that are commensurate with training and experience. Professional malpractice and medical liability are covered under sovereign immunity.
About the Pediatric and Adolescent Rehabilitation Program
Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital includes both inpatient and outpatient divisions. The Pediatric and Adolescent Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Program is a six-bed, CARF-accredited comprehensive program that is one of only two of its kind in all South Florida. The institute also includes a rapidly expanding outpatient office practice and boasts a well-established early intervention and developmental program in addition to a wheelchair/equipment clinic with DME vendor and PT support. A team of experienced pediatric therapists (PT/OT/ST/audiology/Child Life), as well as other clinicians, including nutritionists, social workers and psychologists, offers a wide and expanding range of pediatric rehabilitation programs and procedures using a multidisciplinary team approach. Memorial Rehabilitation Institute at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital maintains a collaborative relationship with the adult rehabilitation programs offered by the Rehabilitation Institute of South Florida, a facility of Memorial Healthcare System.
