Child and Adolescent Clinic, with its two locations in Longview and Vancouver, WA, provides an ideal private pediatric clinic, an ideal call schedule, an ideal location, and an ideal lifestyle in Southwest Washington State. Each clinic location is less than an hour from ski slopes, beaches, and urbane Portland, Oregon. This position offers to a BC/BE pediatrician the opportunity to work with eight pediatricians who together manage their own independent practice that employs 50 people, including four pediatric nurse practitioners. The Longview clinic serves 15,000 patients in Cowlitz county. The Vancouver clinic was established in Clark county in 2009 and continues to grow, since all new patients are accepted along with all insurance programs including Blue Cross, Regence, Kaiser, Medicaid and Healthy Options.
We strive to be a true Medical Home for our patients, and include disease management, lactation consultations, weight maangement, developmental screening, Reach Out and Read, dental fluoride varnish, prenatal classes, Child Psychiatry consultation via telemedicine, and visiting pediatric cardiology, neurology, allergy and endocrinology specialists from Portland and Seattle. We are also able to offer televised CME-approved pediatric grand rounds from Seattle Children’s Hospital.
The Longview site has a regional 193 bed hospital located just 3 blocks away, which provides a newly remodeled birthing center, obstetrical, pediatric, and newborn services (level-two nursery). One in eight call rotation includes full time hospital coverage to maintain hospital-based skills. The building in Longview, owned by the pediatricians, provides 28 examination rooms, laboratory, x-ray, plus spirometry and audiology rooms. The recently added Vancouver practice site is on the campus of Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital.
There is a guaranteed first year salary, plus possible bonus based on productivity. In addition, the clinic provides malpractice, health, life and disability insurance, and a retirement plan. Opportunity exists to become a practice partner.
