The Baylor Scott & White Health Director of Rehab services will oversee the coordination, management and direction of Rehab Services for a single facility or multiple accounting units within the same facility as assigned by the facility administration. Rehab services may include physical therapy (PT), occupational therapy (OT), speech language pathology (SLP), therapeutic recreation (TR), Neuropsychology/ Rehab Psychology (NP), Athletic Trainer (AT), and support for Physician offices. One of the following licensure is required: Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Speech/ Language Pathologist & Audiologist, Neuropsychologist/Psychologist, Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, Licensed Athletic Trainer, Exercise Physiologist

WHAT IS EXPECTED
*Monitor productivity, addressing variances from established standards and adjusts staffing to maintain established productive standard
*Responsible for the oversight of quality projects and staff participation within the assigned departments in order to support system and facility quality initiatives.
*Ensure all expenditures operate within budgetary guidelines and reports on variances and corrective action plan monthly to direct supervisor
*Responsible for the oversight of accurate, timely and complete medical records documentation for assigned staff
*Participate in the recommendation, development and approval of system, facility and department specific policy and procedures to meet accreditation standards
*Responsible for the consistent application of these policies and procedures within the assigned departments
*Ensure that all therapists maintain level of clinical skills necessary to provide quality patient care
*Effectively coordinates and administers Clinic and Hospital personnel policies and procedures related to selection, orientation, training, assignment and staffing, evaluation, discipline and discharging employees with Scott & White policies and procedures and State and Federal labor laws
*Ensure compliance with Department and Scott & White policies, procedures and practices and with standards set by state, federal, Joint Commission, OSHA, the Texas State Board of Therapy Examiners and other regulatory standards
*Collaborate with non-Rehabilitation Departments to establish processes and address issues which enhance the provision of patient care and satisfaction
*Monitor equipment functionality and assess plans for equipment neds based on staff feedback and program development
*Implement Rehabilitation Department strategies which address area which highly correlate to patient satisfaction
*Lead and/or participate in facility wide projects that exceed the scope of Physical Medicine practice as assigned by facility senior leadership
Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional and courteous manner.
